Join the free family fun at Daventry Country Park

The Family Fun Day will be hosted at the Daventry Country Park, featuring a range of fun activities of which many are free of charge. The family fun day will be held on 6th June, Saturday. Free fun activities included on the day are crazy golf, rare breed sheep display, pet’s corner, bushcraft skills workshops and joining the Friends of Daventry Country Park for bird watching. A paid fun dog show will be held by Daventry Dog Training Club too. Another paid event will be the Tufts Toy Show for children. Paid-for activities include Crazy Horses inflatable fun and face-painting. The community culture and leisure portfolio holder, Councillor Alan Hills of Daventry District Council has organised the event. The councillor said the Family Fun Day at the park is a successor of the Countryside Day held here for many years annually. Free activities here include many that visitors will recollect of the Countryside Day, such as, the sheep displays, besides many more, added Councillor Alan Hills.
