Free events, activities by National Centre for Craft & Design, Sleaford

The National Centre for Craft and Design in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, will be launching a new programme of free activities, workshops and events for young people to explore concepts and themes of the Artist Rooms, Vija Celmins’ exhibition. Jim Boxell will hold a film-making workshop to help budding film makers learn the use of basic equipment, which will be on 2nd May, Saturday, from 1.00pm to 4.00pm. From 8th May, up to 26th June, on every Friday, visitors will be offered free sessions to develop and learn advanced film-making. On 6th June, Saturday, artist Jason Wilsher-Mills will run an iPad drawing session, where apps will be used by young people to interpret the exhibition. The young people in the programme will visit the Tate Modern for further research on 29th May, Friday. On 27th June, Saturday, will be Exposure, the project finale and Vija Celmins’ closing event.
