Derbyshire and the Peak District will be joining the national ‘RYA Push The Boat Out’ initiative. As part of it, some 9 sailing clubs, windsurfing clubs and water-sports centres, across the region here have signed up and will be offering free and low-cost tasters to people to try out a new sport or go on the water, from 9th to 17th May.

The RYA event is being held over 2 weekends and 5 weekdays, in a nation-wide festival of windsurfing and sailing, to introduce newcomers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, and to try out the sessions. Each taster session and open day will be different, as each club or centre offers different activities. Those participating in Derbyshire include- Toddbrook SC, Staunton Harold SC, Errwood SC, Combs SC, Burton SC, Carsington Sailability, Carsington SC, Carsington Sports and Leisure and Trent Windsurfing Club at Long Eaton.
