Free tour of D H Lawrence Heritage sites

The doors to DH Lawrence Heritage’s multi-award winning sites, will be open for a free taster next month, on 26th April, Sunday. The free entry being offered is part of the BBC Radio Nottingham programme ‘Big Day Out’. Visitors will have the chance to visit for free among other heritage and museum attractions across Nottinghamshire, the Eastwood sites of DH Lawrence Heritage Centre, Mansfield Road and also the DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum, Victoria Street. This Birthplace Museum is the house he was born in 1885. The venue is open from 11:00am to 5:00pm, with entry until 4:40pm. An exhibition on DH Lawrence and the area’s mining history is shown at DH Lawrence Heritage Centre. At the Heritage Centre, the DH Lawrence Bristo will be open on the day, offering a selection of drinks and cakes.
