Free events at the North London Literary Festival, many in Hendon

March 15th, 2015 by Sandy

A profusion of free events are present in the schedule announced for the North-London Literary Festival of this year, being organised by the Middlesex University. The literary festival this year will be hosted from 23rd March to 25th March. Many of the free events will be held in Hendon. If anyone is interested in children’s books, crime novels, or poetry, or even scriptwriting, they will have experts on hand interacting through panel discussions and workshops. A discussion is being dedicated to all things related to the famous author Agatha Christie. An insight into working at the agency will be presented by Norah Perkins, the Curtis Brown literary agent. Any budding writer after a publishing degree shouldn’t miss this one.

Off campus activities of Middlesex University’s students of creative-writing include spot readings at the Oxfam bookshops located in Baltham, Enfield, Islington and Victoria. The full programme is available at the university website’s related page (http://www.mdx.ac.uk/about-us/our-schools/school-of-media-and-performing-arts/media/features/north-london-literary-festival-2015). One can also tweet questions to speakers on their Twitter account (@NorthLdnLitFest; or use the hashtag#NLLF15). Although free tickets are being offered, they have to be pre-booked.
