The annual Seething Festival is due to take place on Sunday, the 1st March. The festival celebrations will begin at St. Andrews Square, in Maple Road, Surbiton Before this, the day before, you have a chance to learn creative papier-mâché making at a free workshop, at The Lamb, on Brighton Rd, on the 28th February, Saturday. So, go straight there and learn to make papier-mâché monsters or sculptures, or to build or create puppets, costumes and many more.
Returning to Surbiton will be the Lefi Ganderson’s model and the biggest papier-mache creation so far, the massive giant Thamas Deeton. Be sure to take part with your creative work on Sunday, the next day, in the parade starting at 3:30pm going through Surbiton, watched by hundreds of bystanders. So, don’t miss the free workshop.
