This year the free event Street Sundae gets a sponsor during the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, which will be in July. The town’s chartered accountants Cresswells, based on Market Street, have signed a deal to be a sponsor behind one of North’s best street festivals. Talents and top performers of Europe will be showing their skills here, across 5 sites of the town, to thousands of spectators.
The local accountants Cresswell have recently celebrated their 125th anniversary and decided to sponsor an events in one of the region’s best art festivals. The sponsor deal also includes the firm doing the books of the festival this year.
John Dakin, Partner at Cresswell, said they have seen the festival grow over the years and felt it was the right time to be a sponsor, for a truly spectacular event at the programme. Helen Meller, the Festival Artistic director, said last year the charity saw record bookings and it is good that an experienced team like Cresswell will be doing their accounts and that support from local business is very important to the festival. The free event, Street Sundae, being sponsored by the accounting firm will be taking place on 5th July, Sunday.
