Free training for a month in Taekwondo offered
The Hall family Taekwondo is offering anyone interested, open to anyone over the age of 4, with free training for a month, currently. The club has gained attention recently when it entered a team of 4 students to the British Open in Swindon and each of the participants were successful in the competition. Each of them secured a medal for their team, in their respective divisions. The competition was held by the Professional Unification of Martial Arts. Instructor Luke Hall, Marcus Ashfield and Tyler Furnell were awarded gold medals. Jon Walsh was awarded a silver medal. Instructors Luke and Sarah Hall said they were proud of the effort put in before and after the event by the students. Free beekeeping training courses in Leicestershire
The Leicestershire and Rutland Beekeepers Association is offering this year free courses, starting next month, to all those interested in bee-keeping and is encouraging more people to join the free courses. Here is the chance to fulfil a dream if you ever wanted to try bee-keeping. All the classes in the training course are being conducted by experienced hands. The training is at two sites in the north and south of Leicestershire. The twelve practical sessions at the hive side, will begin once things start warming up in the spring weather of April. Five theory classes on bee-keeping will provide practical knowledge and complete background needed for bee-keepers. All are welcome and those under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Free Retro Roller Disco event to be held in Milton Keynes
A free Retro Roller Disco event will be held on 28th February, Saturday and on 1st March, Sunday, at the retail park- MK Shopping Park, Milton Keynes. This will be following the launch of the new Odeon Cinema on 26th February (Thursday) here. Local people and community groups are invited to join the celebrations . The roller disco will be opened to public throughout the weekend. It would be open on Saturday, between 11am and 10pm, and on Sunday, between 11am and 4pm. A time to relive the nostalgic days of the 90s of Roller Disco at Rollers, in Bletchley. The local roller-skating team, MK Roller Derby, will have its members demonstrating their championship skills, at a special appearance on 28th February, Saturday, at the free event.
