Free events for rural community by Village SOS, in Bristol and Darlington

February 10th, 2015 by Sandy

Two free events will be kicked-off this month, one in Bristol and the other in Darlington, in the latest phase of Village SOS organised events. These free events are a Big Lottery funded campaign, worth £1.4 million, to inspire people to come together to make a real difference and to make the most out of where they reside. The free events are open to anyone from the rural community, as drop-in days, to all who need support, inspiration or skills, to get a project going, or an idea off the ground.

The lead-partner in this nationwide campaign, Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) and Rocket Science as research partner, are behind the organising of informal events that will cover networking, exhibitions and workshops from community support agencies and funders. The free event at Bristol is to be held on 21st February, at Amanda Conferencing Centre. The other free event at Darlington, would be held on 28th February, at WM Morrison Enterprise Trust. Both events are to be held between 10:00am and 4:00pm. To sign-up to any one of the free events by Village SOS, please visit the website- acre.org.uk, or phone up 01285-653477.
