A free creative workshop is taking place in Stornoway this month, where two speakers, amongst others, who will be participating are, one a pioneer of cross-media storytelling and the other an award-winning scriptwriter / novelist.
XpoNorth is Scotland’s biggest Creative Industries festival. It is coming to Stornoway soon this month and in collaboration with The Pixel Lab, to run the free workshop. The mini-conference XpoNorth Goes West will be held on 18th February. Persons interested in emerging technologies, whether be artists, film-makers or designers, all get an opportunity to hear and speak to experts and professionals of the industry. They will cover film-making, sponsorship, brand alignment, transmedia and revenue streams.
Registration to the event is free and is open to those working in creative industries. XpoNorth is funded by Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE) with the ERDF, which aims to motivate creative careers in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. It aims to promote careers in music, the screen and broadcast, as well as publishing and craft.
Creative Europe, the Media Programme of the EU, the HIE, Creative Skillset Film Skills Fund, Creative Scotland, Scottish Development International and MG ALBA, all support the free workshop at Stornoway.
