Free workshops on internet for women in business, at Lynn

January 13th, 2015 by Sandy

The Norfolk Chamber of Commerce is offering more free workshops for women to learn about growing their businesses effectively, at the ‘Faster Women’ workshops. To be held on 26th January (Monday) in Lynn, the two workshop sessions on the day follow the success of earlier workshops in December. These workshops focus at increasing women’s knowledge, confidence and to use social media and the internet for business. These sessions are ideal for both internet savvy or beginners.

The ‘First Steps’ workshop is from 9:30AM to 1:00PM, to be held at Yours Business network, situated in Bishop’s Lynn House, which is on Tuesday Market Place, King’s Lynn. This first session is for those starting a presence online. They can learn the pro and cons of self-built websites, about planning a website and choosing a platform for it and about content management. In the afternoon session, between 1:00PM and 4:30PM, this workshop will help delegates wanting to improve their online visibility, picking on the different available social-media platforms, on how to increase search-engine rankings and also how to measure success.

Both sessions fall on the same day and venue, so women can book for both levels of the free workshops. Delegates will be provided lunch, refreshment and help to practice what they have learnt, supported by one-to-one mentoring. For more information, please visit the website- norfolkchamber.co.uk.
