The playgroup in Meare, which has been judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsed, is now offering free taster sessions. The Meare Moles Playgorup near Glastonbury, Somerset, had an inspector visiting them a month back and was graded ‘Outstanding’ in all categories. All the staff members are delighted and aim to continue the good work that has brought them outstanding grades. Nicola Lynham, the manager, said the staff work together extremely well to give the children confidence, self-esteem and the disposition to learn, involving them in learning.
The report made after the inspection stated that children immensely enjoy the well-resourced learning environment, both indoors and outdoors. The quality of teaching is excellent and children make immense progress in all areas of learning, with the staff skilfully planning activities that interest children in all areas of learning, the report stated. The outdoor space has been updated with resources form the Meare Parish Council and the National Lottery Awards, to benefit children with an outdoor classroom, educational activities and games.
