The ‘GoThinkBig’ free event for careers at Bristol
Bristol will be hosting the ‘GoThinkBig’ session, a free careers event on 22 October. The session encourages young people, aimed at the 16 years to 24 years age-group, to make their careers. It will be broken up into first an interactive panel session and second a breakout session where the speakers give off tips and advice, based on their own experience and careers.
The session will have experts speaking and participating in an interactive session. They are from industries including food and drinks, entrepreneurship, marketing, advertising, PR, arts and culture. Representatives from Friska Food, O2 and Virgin will also be speaking on the day. Speakers include Lisa Gregan, Bristol Old Vic’s company director and Ben Seymour, Piemaster’s head of retail and restaurants. The free session will be held form 1:00PM to 5:00PM at the M Shed. Free taster sessions by Arts1 dance school, Milton Keynes
The Arts1 School of Performance has regular free taster sessions being offered to anyone interested. The independent theatre school is based in Milton Keynes and is a recognised by the Council for Dance Education and Training. Classes are offered in Acting, Ballet, Jazz Dance, Contemporary Dance, Musical Theatre Dance, Modern Theatre Dance, Street Dance, Tap Dance, Stage Acrobatics, Body Conditioning and others.
Simply book for a free taster session online, on any of the group classes. Try out more than one class in the school’s taster week, to find out what’s right for you. You can have a conversation with them before the taster session. Accomplished teachers, performers and coaches bring their rich experience and training to the classrooms, to inspire and teach pupils.
Free entry to the fireworks display in Milford Haven
The bonfire night will once again host its annual event of fireworks, to be held this year on 9th November, Wednesday. The venue being Milford-Haven Rugby Club. The event this year will start at 6:30PM and end at 8:30PM. The fireworks display will be set to music. There are other entertainments available, like stalls, fairground rides and bouncy castle.
Thanks to the ‘Milford Haven Round Table’ and with assistance from South-Hook LNG and Milford Haven Town Council, this year’s annual event will give free entry to all visitors. The Round Table secretary, Marin Wilcox, said that they as an organisation wish to improve the lives of people here and of the surrounding areas.
